{"id":2075,"date":"2025-10-10T18:26:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T18:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fokus.hi.is\/?p=2075"},"modified":"2025-10-11T20:47:06","modified_gmt":"2025-10-11T20:47:06","slug":"kynningarvidburdur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fokus.hi.is\/en\/kynningarvidburdur\/","title":{"rendered":"Kynningarvi\u00f0bur\u00f0ur fyrir fr\u00e6\u00f0imenn og almenning \u00ed S\u00f6gu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A public presentation of the main emphases of the research project <em>Centring Families in Iceland\u2019s Just Transition was held on October 9 at Saga, Hagatorg.<\/em> The team presented the project\u2019s main emphases and its implementation, which combines processing from interviews with Icelandic families and research into the manifestations of families and environmental action in literature and film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the research is to explore how just transitions can be realized in people\u2019s everyday lives and how ideas about family, community, and nature are expressed both in culture and in people\u2019s experiences across the country. Emphasis is placed on close collaboration between researchers, families, and policymakers, and the introductory meeting is the first step in an open dialogue with the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project managers introduced the main emphases, presented the project\u2019s website, and answered questions. They are Au\u00f0ur A\u00f0alsteinsd\u00f3ttir, Director of the University of Iceland Research Center in \u00deingeyjarsveit; Au\u00f0ur Magnd\u00eds Au\u00f0ard\u00f3ttir, Associate Professor at the University of Iceland School of Education; and Utsa Mukherjee, Associate Professor of Education at Brunel University.
